I was playing with my new macro the other night and trying to get a straight on shot of some ‘volunteer’ pansies growing at the base of the stairs leading up to the deck. Unable to get down low enough – or rather, if I’m honest, unwilling to get my favorite pair of black leisure pants dirty (but I digress) – I simply placed the camera down low, at ground level, and hoped for the best. I was amused to discover I’d missed the flowers entirely but thought the resulting image was interesting nonetheless!

Very interesting .. How good are macros? 😃
Sometimes the unexpected brings pleasure all the same. I did learn about focal point settings in an online course – yours is set for middle distance by the looks of things.
