Photo 101: Solitude

Quiet contemplation at Mills Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park…

Even when we met others on the trail, being there was a glorious exercise in solitude. A heady combination of beauty and grandeur – perfect for searching the soul and reassessing one’s priorities.

    • Thank you. It was lovelier and more incredible than I could have ever imagined. Looking forward to another September getaway there next year!

      Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hey! I see you are taking the photography class too. I wish I had a camera so I could have joined in. This picture surely illustrates the word well.

    • Thank you Beth. Solitude, peaceful and calm all describe what it felt like hiking in those mountains. A life-changing experience and I can hardly wait to go back!

Thanks for your comment and glad you stopped by!

    • When I saw Bill standing there, taking in all that incredible beauty and stillness that surrounded us, I knew I had to act quickly and grab the shot before he moved or changed positions. One of my most treasured photographs from our trip to Colorado. Already have an 8×10 ready for framing!

      Thanks!
