Published Poems 11.29.2024

Three of my poems were recently published in Exquisite Death for the Macabre, which is self-described as an online resource for music and fiction. You can read my poetry here which includes nearly vertical and two reprinted poems, Nantucket Slough which originally appeared in Coffin Bell, their MAGIC issue, Volume 2, Issue #2 and Miscreant, originally published in Blood & Bourbon, Issue 10, May 2022.

It’s always gratifying to find new homes for previously published poems and I’m grateful to all these journals for allowing me to share my work!

  1. Congratulations, Julie!

“nearly vertical” brought one D.S.T. or M.B. to mind. I could be way off base on that!

“Nantucket Slough” is horrific with its building suspense. Bone chilling is an understatement.

In “Miscreant”, I love Vindictiveness, my calling card, and the ending…

    • Oh, astute one! Yeah, you are kinda sorta spot on with your assessment of ‘nearly vertical’. The images came from a dream I’d had – so vivid! – and I believe my angst over some of the behaviors we’ve discussed were top of mind.

Anyway, THANK YOU for your kind words and thoughtful commentary!!
