Your language is exquisite, Julie. This is SUCH a perfect character sketch of you. Not to be morbid, but it should be in your funereal handout, back cover. Congratulations, again?
Anti-Heroin Chic is publishing “Transtemporal Addiction” in their December issue. I remembered you had a poem published with them awhile back, so I looked it up and re-read “The Wailing Side of Town”. The details are chilling, the writing supreme!
An aside…I was supposed to meet Marilyn in Winterset for lunch today. I emailed her yesterday to postpone, as I was just not feeling I wanted to make the trip and spend valuable time that way. I am recovering from a little respiratory bug (negative for Covid), but still coughing a lot, so that was my excuse. And now, we woke to the first white quilt of the season, so it truly wasn’t meant to be.
Have a cozy day, my friend!
Shelly

Beautiful, Julie. I enjoy the prospect of an angel trying to be better.

Thanks, Diane. Just like this burnished angel, I like to think it’s what we all strive for.
