earth’s axis
taut line through center core
we ebb, we flow

earth’s axis
taut line through center core
we ebb, we flow
dark-eyed junco holds fast
against the onslaught
bitter December wind
not perfect but definite improvement
better dietary choices yielding desired results
motivation to carry on: quite high indeed!
My poem burnished angel has just been published in the Winter Edition, #60, of Lowestoft Chronicle, my fourth appearance in this wonderful journal providing “perspectives on travel & the like…“. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy it!
not sorry at all
a gentle distancing
body, mind & soul
Three of my poems were recently published in Exquisite Death for the Macabre, which is self-described as an online resource for music and fiction. You can read my poetry here which includes nearly vertical and two reprinted poems, Nantucket Slough which originally appeared in Coffin Bell, their MAGIC issue, Volume 2, Issue #2 and Miscreant, originally published in Blood & Bourbon, Issue 10, May 2022.
It’s always gratifying to find new homes for previously published poems and I’m grateful to all these journals for allowing me to share my work!
bring your hardhat
swagger through the multitudes
happy wallet, sure
but is it really worth it?
white dots flash beyond the glass
every tree, naked before us
but I feel warm, inside and out
junior caterpillar
smooths, tamps down the dirt
retaining wall, complete
green grass will have to wait
until spring
each one is hard to let go of
but my shelves runneth over
here’s to new homes, happy hands
