gust of wind
sheer northwesterly blast
puppy & I lean, hard

gust of wind
sheer northwesterly blast
puppy & I lean, hard
chanticleer pear
changes her petticoat
red, for long winter’s nap
season of the witch
does it linger
beyond Halloween?
Here’s a poem I wrote last spring, published today in the midst of this glorious autumn weather we’re having! It appears in DarkWinter Lit, an independent press from Ontario, Canada.
The poem is daffodils and I hope you’ll like it. As ever, THANK YOU for your support.
My haibun poem, an absence of sunlight scattering, was published today by Sunlight Press, A Literary Journal for New and Established Voices. It was inspired by a real-life conversation, and I hope you will enjoy it!

one exceptional poem
that’s some lofty submission requirement
all that i know to speak is plain & true
an inch of collected rainwater
long-handled push broom
husband sweeps the boat cover
squishy Hot Tamales
generous handful
a four-alarm mouthful
garden withdrawal
I gather coneflower seeds
sharing the wealth
Chit Chat
