It was one of those gray and gloomy overcast days and, as such, there was not much color to be found here with this old, broken tree and the mighty creature perched in its branches. I don’t know if this is some type of hawk or maybe an eagle. In any case, black and white seemed the appropriate choice for taking this photo.
Replacing our old wood deck with one made of composite materials is a low-priority item on our To Do list right now. Until then, we’re stuck with looking at the moss and mold growing on the steps and framework whenever we climb up the stairs from our patio. Normally, I don’t even notice this subtle shade of green embedded in the wood grain shown here but it jumped out at me today in light of this week’s Fun Foto challenge!
