I received a $2 payment – don’t laugh; most journals don’t pay anything at all! – AND a contributor’s copy in the mail today for two poems that I’d forgotten had been accepted – in JUNE of 2022!

The form is called scifaiku (sy-fi-KU) and the journal is called Scifaikuest. Here’s their blurb:

“Scifaikuest” is actually two magazines–one online and one print–specializing in scifaiku and other minimalist poetry forms forms, notably senryu, haibun, and tanka, as well as cinquains, fibonacci, etc. Both online and print magazines feature poetry and articles.

My poems, er, scifaiku, don’t appear online so here are a few snaps from their lovely journal. Thanks for looking! 🙂

My first attempt at writing a sonnet, sin & retribution, appears in the 2023 August Issue of The Minison Project: Shakespeare’s Sonnet Reimagined.

You can find it by clicking on the icon for Issue 19, Mythological Minison Vol. 3, which is available here.

My poem can be found on page 12 of the PDF. Please check it out and I hope you’ll like it!

My poem lagger tag was published today in the inaugural issue of Do Geese See God: A Literary Magazine. Here’s their blurb:

“Do Geese See God was started by The Goose. The Goose has questions about humanity. The Goose seeks to create a space for creators to celebrate each other. The Goose wants you to feel at home. The Goose loves to party.”

I hope you’ll party with me to celebrate their new journal and my contribution to it!
