Just noticed your tips for B&W photography. Unfortunately, we don’t have an current version of Photoshop (I think ours is sorely out of date) although we’re hoping to get a newer version at some point. We took a photo class years ago and I recall being told that for ‘true’ B&W output you really need to use film. True? Can you achieve real B&W results with a monotone camera setting and/or post-processing? I’m never satisfied with what I get but I see some really great shots elsewhere. Thoughts?
