There is something extra nice about beach sand composed almost totally of sea shells. Unless you want to build sand castles, for some reason damp sea shell sand doesn’t bind like quartz sand does. We have many beautiful beaches in Cornwall, Julie, that are excellent for building castles and dams etc (my child bit is coming out! Lol!), but one, Porthcurno Beach, looks beautiful, but as a kid wanting to mold shapes in the sand, it’s hopeless!! LOL! 🙂

That’s a very shelly beach Julie!! Is it brackish water, some of the shells look like cockle shells.
