These doors – which originally led to a skywalk – were closed off following a fire in downtown Des Moines a couple of years ago. Slowly the damaged area (and affected skywalks) are being rebuilt. This one is still awaiting renovation.

A great find, but am puzzled about the use of these doors, and how high that concrete pillar is in front? What kind of a building is it?
