The Highlights Magazine organization, which owns and operates The Barn at Boyds Mills, where I attended a poetry retreat in October, adds an etched rock to the Word Garden there for anyone who has made a donation as such (and, I believe, you get to pick the word!)
One of our poetry exercises was to write a poem using any word (or words!) that resonated. I had such fun snapping photos of so many different words! I later wrote a poem using several of them.
One of the rocks had the word ‘diarrhea’ on it and a friend of mine wrote a hilarious poem based on ‘her’ word. It was a lot of fun!
