don’t tell me it’s not real
the browning of winter
this is what
we’ve done to the world
Super Bowl LIX
house is (fairly) clean
food, snacks, beverages: all check
don’t care (too much) about commercials
we just want to see a good game!
why I sometimes can’t sleep at night
secretions—
thoughts flying
everywhere
mellow
winter sunshine
I love how the curve of my spine
makes friends with the floor
immobility
every concrete surface
slippery as hell
bones quiver & quake
midwest dynasties
string of interstate traffic
inside every vehicle
an epic tale of family
well before the dawn
writing poetry
in the early a.m.
joy finds me again
a brown austerity
whatever happened
to our winter wonderland
I miss its awe & majesty
late afternoon
watercolor street life
easy stride of passersby
the light, so absolutely perfect
