Published Poems 03.28.2024
Most literary journals and online publications don’t accept poetry that has appeared elsewhere; however, some do, and I’m pleased that two of my poems were accepted (as reprints) in The Field Guide Poetry Magazine.
Mackinaw first appeared in Recesses Zine and lagger tag was originally published in Do Geese See God. I hope you enjoy them both! Always and forever, THANK YOU for looking.

our wonderful coco, how you enrich our lives!!

little puppy
so sweet, so magnificent
a love that grows & grows
i don’t remember. did March come in as a lion or a lamb?
tiny chunks of ice
thunder snow & lightning
juncos, long gone,
flown away from here
you can’t just easily brush them off
early spring hike
turkey peas & hitchhiker weeds
tear & snag my Lycra leggings
march madness, baby!
opponentsβ hands in the air
hungry for tip-off’s edge
may I have this dance?
will they survive?
front-yard maple
early red-pink buds
false spring arrivals
it felt so real
woke up after my arrest
my gentle subconscious
urging me to alter my path?
we wait
virgin spring launch
water bottles, broasted chicken
let puppy steer the boat?
cashew chicken, colorful veggies & water chestnuts, too – that satisfying crunch
Thai take-out for lunch
oneβs a zero, the other a three
our future, for dessert
