the slightest chill, apprehensions of warmth
washed my bedding today…

uneven
softer words
interspersed with unkind moments
my jagged edges
little darlings
cloud-mist
tender shoots
a darkening sky
a joyful task
birdbath planter
scattered greenery
robin-chorus crescendo
a little ibuprofen chaser
seven 20 lb concrete blocks
subtle reminders to husband unheeded
so, I just moved them all myself
the tide
warmth envelops my body
I tell myself
it’s time to be good
to who I am
