poet outreach
allied spirits
lyricism, our bond
out the door under a still-night sky
so many discoveries along the way
dark yields to light, then the pouring rain
newly christened
I aspire
to a flaneur calling
haunting melancholy
the lake at dusk
waves gentle tall reeds
two friends walk in tandem
headed the same direction
yet on very different paths
hot, hazy, humid
remembered
ten-year-old summer days
sun ascends the horizon
large scarlet ball in the sky
wildfire’s smoke not yet dissipated
puppy barks at the front door
jumps on the bed to peer out the window
protecting his people, his top priority
