Movement: Patterns & Textures

Laying on our glider after a short nap on the deck, still trying to shake this mid-summer malady that is currently making my life miserable, I began to notice different patterns and textures all within a ten to fifteen foot radius from where I was so comfortably situated. After awhile I was sufficiently motivated to duck inside to grab my camera to see what I could scrape together from the images all around me.

Sigh. Today’s non-post brought to you courtesy of boredom, lethargy and the summer sickness blues.

    • Thanks – Roberta, right?

Sometimes it’s hard to get the camera to take the picture the way my EYES are seeing something, you know? Appreciate the comment! Thank you.

  1. Ever since I was little I have noticed my eyes are drawn to color and I notice patterns much more than people who might be walking with me or traveling in a car with me. A past girlfriend of mine always seemed to be so annoyed at how enamored I was with how vibrant colors were. I always look for (lust after) blue and orange layers, green and yellow layers, and lots of red-browns on greens.

    • Don’t know that I’m drawn so much to color patterns per se but I love — and always call out to Bill! — number patterns such as when the digital clock reads ’12:34′ or ‘4:56’ (that one being my favorite. That’s a fifteen-two, you know!).

Thanks for your comment Wesley. 🙂
