I must admit this assignment has me scratching my head. I’ve switched out the photo of my blog’s home page and I did add a tagline but it does not display. What goes into this particular post, I haven’t a clue…
The new photo looks good. Have you double-checked the general settings to make sure that you saved the change to your tagline after entering the information? I forgot to “save” the first time that I changed something in the settings.
Actually, I added the tagline when I first upgraded to this new (purchased!!!) theme. It has never displayed. ALSO: The photo now is much, much larger than it used to be and I have no idea why that is unless the developer ‘pushed down’ some kind of change that adjusted the size of the photo.
Does it show as larger for you? Maybe it’s just my browser?
It appears to be about the same size as your old one. Check out the size parameters under Appearances, Header. You can always use a photo-editing tool like Pixlr to resize the photo for the header.
Hmmm. Not seeing a sub-option labeled Header under Appearances. The thing is — the photo on my home page, until about a week ago, showed up in the title header centered in the middle and was fairly small. It took up approximately 1/5 of the space there, maybe 1/4. Now the photo — both what I had until a few days ago (the ‘old’ one) and the ‘new’ one are HUGE in comparison. I’ve made no customization changes whatsoever. Given the description I’ve just provided, what do you see: a smaller photo taking up just a fraction of the header space or just the photo that is quite large? It’s so large that I have to scroll down to see what else is on the home page.
I have sent you an email with some suggestions.
Good luck,
Allan
Allan: I seem to have misplaced the email you sent me. Could you resend it? Thanks!
It is on its way.
LOL, this post caught my eye because I had some trouble remembering how to change my title and tagline. Did finally figure it out, and posted about my “frustration” yesterday.
