Here’s something you don’t see very often: a double-wide screen door entrance to a small-town bar & grill. The food and atmosphere was great at Nelsen’s Hall on Washington Island in Door County, Wisconsin. A novel experience!

Door County you say? My kinda place 😉
Oh, yeah. We were there first week in October. Have you been to Mackinac Island? Enjoyed Door County but my heart belongs to Mackinac!!
No I’ve haven’t been out that way yet, but it is on the list. Beautiful country from everything I’ve seen and heard.
So peaceful with no motorized vehicles. We rented bikes and rode around the perimeter of the island and in the woods. Most relaxing vacation ever!
What a brilliant name ‘Door County’. The island sounds like a wonderful place to chill out and escape the rat-race.
