I know. Me too! I loaned my copy to my SIL who returned it to me shortly. Said she just couldn’t get into it. My sister said the same thing. What?!?! Gals without any ‘scope of imagination’ as Anne of Green Gables would say! (Another book I just recently read.) I’m gobbling up several ‘childhood’ books I never bothered with when I was younger!
